You Matter Too

You’ve done the work. But the work doesn't stickYou’ve slept but never feel rested. You’ve scaled back but still fear you haven’t done enough. You’ve asked for help yet believe only you can do it. The caring has started to feel performative.Overwhelmed.
Exhausted.
Guilt-ridden.
You just want to feel like yourself again.
You wear the smile. You provide excellent care. You’re the go-to person, the rock, the problem-solver. Dependable. Reliable. Always there at the drop of a hat. You go out of your way so no one feels abandoned. But inside, you are tired.
Exhausted.
You question yourself constantly. When you turn around, no one is there. On the rare occasions someone shows up, you don’t want to trouble them. You worry you’re “too much” for the ones who stayed. You feel uncertain. You default to “I’m fine.” You distance yourself. You feel less and less like yourself. You keep performing so you don’t have to feel the guilt.Slowly abandoning yourself - while still longing for peace. Disappointing others only creates more problems, you thought. So you became the solution - the rock, the crutch, the safe place. Their peace. Their relief. And in return, you felt important. Significant. Like you mattered. Maybe even purposeful. And less guilt-ridden. And you kept functioning.

Sense of self / DisconnectionYou want to connect with other, but you barely feel connected to yourself. You’re present on the outside. Gone on the inside.

Burnout / ExhaustionYou’re tired.
Running on empty.
You don’t know how you’re still awake.
And quietly, you wonder how much longer you can take.

Sense of Duty / Cannot Rest
Your duties are fulfilled. Your responsibilities are met. Yet you still feel guilty. You cannot rest - because you tell yourself, you haven’t done enough.

Freeing the Self You Have Set Aside

  • Uncover the beliefs that keep your own needs invisible

  • Feel your emotions without becoming them

  • Interrupt the old pull before it pulls you under

  • Grow the strength to stay with hard feelings without collapsing or performing

  • Come home to a version of yourself that feels real again

Your Transformation Journey

How Intensives Work

The same care, validation, and attention you naturally give others - finally channeled toward yourself.

Step 1

Pre-Intensive Assessment

You’ll complete a pre-assessment and a one-on-one call to clarify your goals. We will discuss your current progress toward these goals. What has worked in your experience as well as what hasn't. We will define what the most important next step is so we can tailor the approach, the time, and the space toward these goals.

Step 2

1–3 Day Private Intensive

Across one to three full days, you’ll have the time and the space to hone in on the specifics that have limited your progress or aid in sustaining the progress. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts and framework, we will examine the beliefs, feelings, and behaviors that are perpetuating old patterns. Then we will strategize and, more importantly, implement changes to break the old patterns toward your more authentic self again.

Step 3

Integration & Follow-Up

You’ll leave with a personalized plan of action that you have devised, actionable changes, follow-up sessions, and resources to help you sustain the progress you have made.

The structure keeps you safe. The pace helps you heal. The outcome is freedom that lasts.

Real People Real Change

What Clients Are Saying

“I overcame challenges I hadn’t been able to conquer with multiple therapists and psychiatrists in the past. I used to depend on other people for happiness and validation. Now I trust that I can give those to myself.”- Nurse Practitioner

“I was exhausted from caring for everyone and guilt-ridden when I tried to prioritize myself. I now communicate more clearly, manage stress with confidence, and handle difficult situations with greater self-awareness. One insight I gained is that no matter how well I think I understand someone else’s perspective, I really don’t. It has opened my approach to every situation and supported real personal growth.”- Nurse Practitioner

“I learned to sit with discomfort rather than default to old knee-jerk reactions. It wasn’t easy, but I feel less anxious and less guilty when I take care of myself now.”- Anonymous Family Caregiver

Hi, I’m Nicky Cheng LMFT

For the past 20 years, I’ve specialized in working with caregivers and helping professionals who are burning out while holding everyone else up. I’ve heard the same quiet story again and again:
You take great pride in the quality of care you give.
And somewhere along the way, that same standard of care was never reciprocated. My work is collaborative. Together we protect the high standards you hold for others while finally bringing that same care, validation, and attention inward - so you can stop performing, stop abandoning yourself, and start feeling like yourself again. Each intensive is completely tailored to what you bring. In a private, safe, go-at-your-pace setting, we blend cognitive-behavioral tools, experiential work, and guided integration designed specifically for you.If you’re ready to move from being performative, disconnected, overwhelmed, and guilt-ridden to grounded, connected, authentic, and at peace with yourself, I’d love to talk.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if an intensive is right for me?
If you’ve made progress in therapy but still feel stuck. Or if you just want to focus on addressing what’s underneath the surface. Or if you have a time constraint and would like to make a greater impact in a shorter timeframe. An intensive is ideal.

What happens during the intensive?
Each day includes focused work, breaks, and integration time. We go at your pace — the goal is depth, not exhaustion.

Is this confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is fully protected. Sessions are one-on-one, and nothing is shared with employers, family, or others.

Do you take insurance?
Intensives are private pay only. This allows for total confidentiality and flexibility.

Do you offer virtual intensives?
No. These are in-person only — the immersive environment is essential for this level of work.

How soon can I schedule?
Openings vary, but most clients can book within 4–6 weeks.
